"Wounded
Hearts" by Linda LaRoque was a very touching story of a woman trying to
overcome the loss of her fiance. This story would be considered a sweet or
"clean" romance as it contained no explicit sexuality, but that did
not detract at all from the emotion. When Sarah meets Brandon, a scarred
veteran who was close to her fiance, she feels drawn to him. I loved how
Brandon was depicted, as such a noble man who did not feel worthy of her. This
story really tugged the heartstrings as both characters struggle with their
feelings and Brandon deals with the effects of PTSD. And then came twist that I
did not foresee. Readers who enjoy sweet romance with serious themes will want
to pick up this story."
I hope you'll write a short review.
Many thanks,
Linda
