My Heart Will Find Yours got a facelift.

I'm so pleased with this new cover for My Heart Will Find Yours. I'm not sure when it will go public but it will be soon. The story has not been altered and is Book One in the Turquoise Legacy. Flames on the Sky is book two.

Fated lovers suffer the agony of loss only to be reunited to fulfill a greater plan.

TEXANNA KEITH doesn't believe an antique locket is the key to time travel, but plays along, and to her horror, is zapped back to 1880 Waco, Texas. Her mission is to prevent Royce Dyson's death in a shootout. Wounded, she loses what she longs for most - a life with Royce.

Marshall ROYCE DYSON'S wife disappeared in 1876. Now she's reappeared, claiming she's a time traveler. As he seeks the truth, he's determined to keep Texanna with him, but it's not destined to be.

I'll give a shout when the new edition is released. If you haven't read this series, I hope you'll pick up a copy of both books in the Turquoise Legacy—My Heart Will Find Yours and Flames on the Sky.

Thank you Diana Carlile for your beautiful design.

Here is the trailer for My Heart Will Find Yours. It still has the old cover but I'll have it updated soon.

Praise for My Heart Will Find Yours

A 4 1/2 Shoe Review for My Heart Will Find Yours

I'm pleased to share this review My Heart Will Find Yours from Final Cut Editing.

My Heart Will Find Yours by Linda LaRogue

A carefree, fun-loving, young lady named Texana Keith befriends a special lady named Pearl , aka Pearlina Dyson. These 2 ladies hold a very special bond; one Pearl is acutely aware of; one Texana will soon discover and appreciate.

Pearl is an elderly widow holding an unbelievable secret to her life. Understanding that the time has come; the time to make a unique, almost outlandish, request of her beloved Texana. A request she has been preparing for, for a long time.

Pearl sits Texana down, providing memorabilia and trinkets to accompany the story of her existence in this century. Once finished with her tale, she asks a special favor of Texana. All Texana must do is take a few items Pearl provides her and get on a train, the rest will happen on its own.

Texanna, thinking her elderly friend has completely lost her mind, finally agrees to this ludicrous trip to pacify her fragile friend. All the while thinking she could make a shopping trip out of the whole thing. Never could Texana fathom what would happen next. Her life would never be the same. Waking up half naked, in Waco Texas , in 1876 was almost more than she could handle, until she realized this was only the beginning...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This time travel romance is a mind blowing journey jam-packed with action, adventure, and every emotion within. The witty, independent Texana makes you laugh and cry while the delicious Royce Dyson has you falling in love with him without even trying; a genuine, sexy, gentlemen that one finds only in the old movies.
My Heart Will Find Yours is an emotional and heavenly train ride you don't want to miss boarding.
LaRoque works her magic, never ceasing to amaze with her glorious stories and exceptional writing skills. She makes her readers "believe." Her attention to detail, well crafted descriptions, and obvious research makes this, as well as every other, story of hers comes to life on the pages. I just couldn't put this story down.
I've been a fan of Linda LaRoque from the first book of hers I ever read and will continue to be for a very long time. Please see my other reviews of this truly talented author and check out the rest of her books. She never disappoints!
The Invention of Toilet Paper
Have you ever wondered what people used before the invention of toilet paper? I have. The ones in the picture above are pretty well-known, especially the catalogue, usually the Sears and Roebuck fondly tagged "Rears and Sorebutt." My grandparent's farm had an outhouse and as a child I couldn't believe they used pages from the catalogue for toilet paper. According to The Virtual Toilet Paper Museum - Toilet Paper in the News, the Farmer's Almanac had a hole in the corner (it still does as I saw one at the store tonight) so it could be hung on a hook. Per this article, other items used were stones, pieces of clay, sponges on a stick kept in a clay pot full of salt water, and the left hand which is still supposedly considered unclean in the Arabian region.
The first actual toilet paper dates back to the late 14th Century in China. Emperors ordered it in 2 foot by 3 foot sheets. The first packaged toilet paperin the United States was produced in New York by Joseph C. Gayetty. Pre-moistened sheets were medicated with aloe and named Gayetty's Medicated Paper. Rolled and perforated toilet paper arrived around 1880. One source, the Scott Paper Company wouldn't put their name on the product as it was a sensitive subject in Victorian times. They customized it for their customers. Waldorf was a big name in toilet paper as they ordered a lot for their hotels. The first splinter-free paper was introduced by Northern in 1935. Ouch! In 1942, a mill in England produced the first two-ply paper and the first toilet paper shortage occured in 1973. I didn't have time to research the reason for the shortage, so if anyone knows why there was one, please share it with us.
Note:  My friend Tiffany Green looked this up and reported that it resulted from a comment made by Johnny Carson on the Late Show. For full details, view her post on The Cactus Rose Blog.
One of the things my heroine in My Heart Will Find Yours missed most from the future was indoor plumbing and toilet paper. Well, actually, she missed a lot of things but not enough to go back to the future and leave Marshal Royce Dyson.
You can read chapter one of My Heart Will Find Yours and all of my other novels on my website.
I have a monthly drawing on my blog Linda LaRoque's Musings and give away an ebook -- the winner's choice. All you have to do is leave a comment.
A New Review for My Heart Will Find Yours
I'm so pleased to share this review from Long and Short Romance Reviews for my time travel My Heart Will Find Yours.
My Heart Will Find Yours by Linda LaRoque
Publisher: The Wild Rose Press
Genre: Time Travel, Action/Adventure, Historical, Western
Length: Full (310 pages)
Heat: Sensual
Rating: 5 BooksReviewed by Water Lily
Here is a comment from the review.
"I loved the bi-play between Royce and Texanna. They have definite chemistry even though Texanna wishes they didn’t. She risks everything to save Royce and his (and Pearl’s) son, but doesn’t mean to stay in 1880. She doesn’t mean to fall in love with Pearl’s husband.
Linda LaRoque’s characters are extremely likeable, multilayered, and faith-filled. The way she plays the past and the present off each other, using one to change the other, makes this story truly unique. My Heart Will Find Yours is fast paced and compelling. I read it in one sitting.
I will definitely be watching for Flames in the Sky, Book Two in LaRoque’s Turquoise Legacy series."
You can read the full review at Long and Short Romance Reviews.
My Heart Will Find Yours is available at The Wild Rose Press, Fictionwise, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.com.
Flames on the Sky, Book Two of the Turquoise Legacy, will be out October 23, 2009.
Please leave a comment to be entered in my monthly ebook drawing and take a look at my new release contest.
